The boat was purchased by my wife Angela in Plymouth (UK), a port city on Devon. She was transported
with a truck in Rome in 2005.
In January 2006 the flag was changed from English to Italian, as per the Jordanian Certificate
of 12/1/2006 in Fiumicino. Then the boat has always been between Argentario (Cala Galera), Civitavecchia, Riva di
Traiano and Fiumicino where she was initially and recently restored.
You are currently in the water in a beautiful mooring on the Tiber, Ostia side, near the Scafa bridge.
The hull was last made by the local shipyard in 2021 (see opening photo).
The engine, a Nanni Diesel HSE 260 as shown in the attached photos, has been completely redone, as shown in the invoices
attached, in 2021 and currently has less than 20 engine hours, practically still in running-in. On the occasion
the propeller shaft has been rectified and is now perfect (attached invoices for over 5,000 Euros of work).
The entire exhaust pipe/engine gas muffler and fuel tank were replaced at the same time
diesel and engine basics.
The boat has a mainsail made new by Fastelli Sail in 2018 and a carbon jib from a Platu 25, very
performing. She is not equipped with a furler. The rigging has always been kept efficient.
She has a green Spinnaker of an Este 24, very useful.
The electrical system includes 2 batteries, one from 2018 and one, the starter one, from 2021, as well as a
solar panel and relative system installed in 2021 which ensures complete energy independence. (
we never keep it electrically connected on the quay).
There is a refrigerator but we have to fix the electric pump (220 Euros the cost).
The boat has 2 excellent anchor lines with 2 different anchors, the primary one in the bow with 10m chain and
30 of new textile purchased in 2021, the one located in the stern locker with 10 meters of chain and 30 meters
of appropriate top.
The sea cocks were replaced in 2021.
We have completely repainted the sides of the boat (photos attached) with two-component paint in the
2021 and we are finishing painting the deck and cockpit.
The whole joint between the boat and deck was resined and grouted and painted in 2021.
It has a 2020 mainsail cover, Raymarine ST 2000 tiller autopilot, Raymarine instrument for
speed and depth of 2008. Electrical panel, as shown in the photo, of 2008.
The VHF is the original one we had with the boat with the black telephone handset, it works great
well.
The interiors were redone in 2008 but we are rearranging them.
We are selling the boat, although my wife is very fond of it because when Angela and I are there
married, in 2012, we bought a bigger boat (a Henry Wauquiez Centurion 42) with which
we sail often, so the little Lyraid is effectively unused and, over the past 10 years, we will have gone out to
maximum 20 times.
Trials in water possible at Fiumicino, the asking price is Euro 9,900  €7,500
